Can’t wait for major-league baseball’s opening pitch this spring? Start warming up at the annual “NMH Dick Peller Hot Stove Night” at Northfield Mount Hermon School.

ESPN’s Buster Olney will host an informal panel of baseball professionals who will talk candidly about the upcoming season and America’s pastime Friday night at 6:30 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place at the Rhodes Arts Center on the NMH campus in Gill.

Panelists include Galen Carr, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ director of player personnel and a 1993 NMH graduate; Sarah Langs, ESPN baseball researcher; and Rob Bradford, WEEI radio reporter and broadcaster. Olney, a writer at ESPN, is a 1982 NMH graduate.

The event will also be livestreamed at nmhschool.org/livestream.

NMH’s hot stove night is named for longtime NMH teacher and coach Dick Peller, who is now retired.
