She Said playing in Warwick next week

WARWICK — She Said will play at Town Hall Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. as the first of four monthly Wooden Fender concerts in Warwick. Admission is free, with a suggested $5 donation. The concert is preceded by the Arts Council’s Souper Supper at 6 p.m. Admission for dinner is $6 for adults or $3 for children.

The second Wooden Fender concert is Spacebar on Feb. 9, preceded by the Trinitarian Congregational Church’s Pizza Dinner. The concerts for March and April are to be announced. The community concert series, an offshoot of the Warwick Arts Council, has been going on since 2006.

Community Preservation Act taking applications

NORTHFIELD — Proposals for Community Preservation Act projects are due Jan. 15. Categories for fundable projects are historical resources, recreational resources, open space and community housing. Application forms are available at Town Hall and on the Community Preservation Committee’s page on the town website. Questions can be sent to northfieldmacpa@gmail.com.

The money comes from a property tax surcharge that voters have approved specifically for these kinds of projects. some of the money is matched by the state.

Talk on tax laws

NORTHFIELD — The Senior Center is hosting a talk about new tax laws including estate, retirement and savings provisions with Todd Cromack from Liberty Tax Service on Thursday at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served. To reserve a seat call 413-498-2186 by Tuesday.
