Gift-wrapping parties, wine tastings, open houses and theatrical performances — all with a holiday theme — will be scattered throughout the North Quabbin region for the rest of the month.
Here’s a look at what’s coming up:
The Clamber Hill Inn and Restaurant, 111 North Main St., Petersham, will host its annual wine-sharing party from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year, the party is a wine and food event. Attendees are encouraged to come with a partner, one with a bottle of wine and one with a food item to share. The restaurant asks that all going RSVP by calling 978-724-8800 with how many are going and what food they are bringing.
Athol-Orange Community Television and WVAO will broadcast its annual reading of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Actors and crew have been selected from local volunteers.
At 6 p.m. at the Quabbin Valley Auction, 30 Whitney St., Orange, will be the “Holly Jolly Christmas Auction,” featuring toys, blankets, sheets, decorations, jackets, slippers, candles, home decor, tools and more, including drones.
In addition to the scheduled events, the Athol Credit Union has put on an “Angel Tree” project at its Athol location, 513 Main St., to benefit children in need. During its open hours, stop by and take a tag from the Angel Tree. Each tag contains a gift request from a child in need. Gifts can be returned to the same location, or to the Athol Credit Union’s Orange branch at 85 East Main St.
