Old liberals won’t accept the fact that every printed word, worthless and worthwhile, is available online; in many forms. Their coveted social events, a prime motivator in keeping libraries open, can take place at Hawks and Reed, etc. Want a book? Patronize your local bookstore.
All our outdated libraries could be converted to shelters for the homeless and “the library,” a kiosk.
