SHELBURNE – The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed the rest of the week. It will reopen Dec. 10 when Town Clerk Joe Judd’s normal office hours resume: Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
HAWLEY – One of Hawley’s two large sander trucks was damaged during last Tuesday’s storm, so town officials are warning residents that sanding and plowing may take longer than usual until the problem is solved.
A tree branch struck the cab of the 1995 sander truck, breaking the windshield and damaging the frame, rendering it inoperable, according to Treasurer Virginia Gabert. Because of the truck’s age, replacement parts could take some time to find.
