Advance tickets for the Thanksgiving Eve game between Frontier Regional School and Mohawk Trail Regional High School are on sale.

The game begins at 6 p.m. in Buckland. Advance tickets are $5 or $7 at the gate.

Tickets are on sale at the South Deerfield Polish Club, Deerfield Pharmacy and the main offices at both schools.

GHS hockey drive

The Greenfield High School ice hockey team is holding a Can and Bottle Drive on Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Ruggeri’s on Deerfield Street in Greenfield.

The program is a cooperative with eight area schools and fields both a junior varsity and varsity team and the GHS Hockey Parents Association fundraises and pays for 100 percent of the ice time and operating costs of the teams.

Redemption hoops

Redemption Christian Academy in Northfield will hold its Scholarship Fundraiser Games, Monday.

The highlight of the day is the boys prep game, which takes place at 6 against Bradford Christian Academy. There are also girls’ varsity (3 p.m.) and boys’ varsity (4:30 p.m.) games that afternoon. Cost is $5. There will be halftime competitions with prizes awarded, and all baked goods at the concession stand will be 50 percent off. Redemption

Ellis at Clarkson

Liam Ellis scored a team-high 13 points on Friday night but Clarkson fell to Westfield State University, 84-63, in the opening game of the Rick Martin-Holiday Inn Express men’s basketball tournament at the Woodward Center in Westfield.

Ellis finished with 25 points, six assists and six rebounds in the season-opening 105-95 loss to 14th-ranked Plattsburgh as Clarkson is now 0-2. Clarkson will play in the consolation game of the tournament today at 1.

Montague Elks Shoot

The Montague Elks Lodge will hold its annual free throw shooting contest on Nov. 24 at Turners Falls High School.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the shoot begins at 10. The contest is free and open to boys and girls ages 8 through 13 as of April 1, 2019. Contestants are broken up into groups by age and gender.

Squirts results

Chase Zraunig scored with 27 seconds to play to help Franklin County Hockey Association to a 1-1 draw with Brattleboro in a Greater Springfield League Squirt Division game.

Braedon Talbot and Hayden Ardrey played well defensively in front of FCHA goalie Jay McGinnis, who made 25 saves.

• Also, Shawn Baumann registered a hat trick as FCHA defeated Holy Name, 9-2.

Jack Laurie and Luca Siano each scored twice in the win, and Ardrey and Stefan Flaska each scored once. Carter Schloat played well defensively in front of McGinnis, who stopped 14 shots.
