Owls, wildflowers and other species native to the North Quabbin region have been photographed and explained in the Athol Bird & Nature Club’s 2019 calendar.
The calendar, according to coordinator Ernie LeBlanc, features “nature notes with local information on bird migrations, wildflower blooms, meteor showers and other outdoor and wildlife information, nature trivia, fun facts and more.”
With all photos of the local flora and fauna taken by club members, the calendars are available throughout the North Quabbin region.
The calendar is available in Franklin County at Trailhead Outfitters and General Store, Quabbin Harvest and Mount Tully Kennels in Orange; the New Salem General Store; Wendell Country Store; Connecticut River Liquors in Turners Falls and the Wine Rack and Reggeri’s Beverage & Redemption Center in Greenfield. It is also available at Flowerland, Cornerstone Insurance, MacMannis Florist, North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce Déjà vu and the North Quabbin Community Coalition in Athol; Red Apple Farm in Phillipston; Country Kitchen in Templeton; Hardwick Farmers Coop in Gilbertsville and the Petersham Craft Center.
