GREENFIELD — The Greenfield YMCA and Baystate Franklin Medical Center are teaming up to host a Senior Health Fair and Functional Fitness Assessment today from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event is held annually at the YMCA, 451 Main St. It is free and open to all seniors in Franklin County — members and non-members are welcome.
Exercise trainers will conduct free fitness assessments, including upper and lower body strength, flexibility, aerobic endurance and balance. Scores will be determined based on national averages, and the trainers will suggest individualized plans to those who participate.
The event will also include more than 20 vendors providing information about local products and services, as well as additional screening opportunities including blood pressure, balance and hearing tests.
Cheryl Pascucci, RN, MS, FNP-BC from Baystate Franklin Medical Center will host a presentation at noon about self-care and stress reduction. A complimentary light lunch will be served.
