Delaney Parker had a hand in all six of her team’s goals, scoring three and assisted on the others, and the Mahar Regional School star sophomore recorded the 100th point of her career with an assist in the first half to help the Senators blank Hopkins Academy, 6-0, in a Pioneer North girls soccer game Monday night at the Woodward Complex in Orange.

Parker leads all Recorder-area players with 37 goals and 10 assists this fall. She assisted on Mollie Burke’s goal to open the scoring for her 100th point.

“It was another dominating offensive performance by Delaney and we’re all thrilled for her accomplishment of scoring 100 points,” Mahar coach Chad Softic said. “I don’t think people understand how hard she has worked to become the player she is and my favorite thing about her is her grace and humility.”

Jazmyn Vautour and Emma Savoy added second-half goals for the Senators (14-2 overall, 9-1 North), which celebrated Senior Night. Marie Nottleson made six saves to earn the shutout, and assisted were credited to Savoy, Tori Tenney and Burke.

“I can’t say enough about this senior class. They are a classy bunch of young ladies who’ve represented Mahar with honor throughout there career,” lauded Softic. “It’s hard to envision another one like them. I certainly will miss all of them and thank them for all they’ve given to the program.”
