GREENFIELD — The city of Greenfield needs you!
The city is looking to hire people to work the polls for the Tuesday, Nov. 6 election, said Town Clerk Kathryn Scott.
Beginning at 6 a.m. and ending around 10 or 11 p.m. poll workers will be expected to work in Greenfield High School. Scott said people are expected to bring their own lunch, but pizza will be provided for dinner.
In order to be eligible to be a poll worker, interested people must be a registered voter.
“These are long hours,” Scott said. “This election we’re going to need more people than usual working with us.”
Those interested in applying for the position can call the clerk’s office at 413-772-1555, e-mail townclerk@greenfield-ma.gov or stop into the clerk’s office.
Applicants should include their name and address in an e-mail. They should expect to have some correspondence, but no formal interview is required.
