POWELL

If you have a story to tell but don’t know how to begin, an upcoming class could help you put pen to paper.

Starting Sept. 26, Greenfield poet, writer and retired university professor Mary Clare Powell will facilitate an eight-week course exploring poetry and prose as vehicles for telling stories. According to a Greenfield Public Library press release, the class will be held on Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. through Nov. 14 at the library.

The course is also intended for writers who have a project in mind, and for those curious about the differences and overlaps in writing poetry and prose. However, no experience is necessary.

The class, which is sponsored by the Friends of Greenfield Public Library, is limited in size. To reserve a spot, call 413-772-1544 or stop by the main desk at the library.
