Connor named area’s top mortgage originator

GREENFIELD — For the third year in a row, Caryl Connor of the Mortgage Department of Greenfield Savings Bank has been named the area bank’s “Number One Mortgage Originator” (by number of loans), according to the journal Banker and Tradesman.

Banker and Tradesman’s fifth annual Top Loan Originators report also ranked Connor the area bank’s “Number Two Top Loan Originator,” by total dollar amount of loans and the “Sixth Top Loan Originator in the State,” based on number of loans.

3 instructors join the staff at Green River Yoga

GREENFIELD — Three new instructors have joined Green River Yoga & Movement, on the second floor at 158 Main St.

Bonnie Bloom is a graduate of the 200-hour yoga teacher training at Karuna Center for Yoga & Healing Arts, as well as a longtime practitioner of Qi Gong and meditation. Her teaching focus is yoga therapeutics, using asana, pranayama, and meditation to open the heart, calm the mind, and strengthen the body.

Bloom owns Blue Crow Botanicals, a local herb company making high-quality, organic herbal extracts, and she is a clinical herbalist at Sojourns Community Health Clinic in Westminster, Vermont.

Sara Coblyn seeks to share the power of yoga and mindfulness practices with students of all ages. A graduate of Nirvana Yoga’s 200-hour teacher training and a gardener and educator with over 15 years of experience, Coblyn combines her love of gardens and yoga in family and children programs through her business, Sweet Roots Gardens.

Marek Tresnak, LMHC, has been working as a psychotherapist and Focusing trainer for over 10 years. He has a private practice in Greenfield. His approach is based on mindfulness, Focusing on bodily sensations, working with parts through Internal Family System and cognitive therapy.

Ciolek now a Coldwell Banker Realtor based in Northampton

NORTHAMPTON — Realtor Melissa Ciolek has joined Coldwell Banker Upton-Massamont Realtors’ Northampton office.

Ciolek grew up in South Hadley and earned her bachelor’s degree in arts in communication from the University of Delaware. Her family owns Associated Builders Inc. in South Hadley and as such, Ciolek has been around the construction industry her entire life.

Before becoming a Realtor, Ciolek was a consumer loan underwriter for Wells Fargo Dealer Services and business manager for Balise Hyundai of Cape Cod.
