OLD DEERFIELD — A Greenfield man driving toward the city suffered very minor injuries after his car flipped over near Woolman Hill early afternoon on Friday, police said.
It’s thought the driver, who was able to get out of the car on his own, was not speeding, but just lost control momentarily when he hit the grassy hill that divides Routes 5 and 10 from Woolman Hill and Keets Road, which caused the car to roll over, Deerfield Police Officer Gary Sibilia said.
The one-car accident involving the Toyota Corolla occurred around 1:45 p.m.
Traffic was rerouted up and around, toward Keets Road, for about half an hour.
The front of the car was severely damaged while the rest of it appeared to be nearly untouched.
Deerfield Police and Fire responded, along with South County EMS. The man was able to walk away and leave without medical attention.
