On a warm summer’s evening in Shelburne Falls Sunday the 19th annual Iron Bridge Dinner took place.
Modeled after a similar community dinner in France, this unique event features a single table set with linens and china for 400 people along the entire span of the Iron Bridge over the Deerfield River that connects the towns of Buckland and Shelburne.
Athletes from the Mohawk Athletic Association served the meal while local musicians walked the span serenading the diners. Before the event, people mingled and strolled over the nearby Bridge of Flowers, taking in the beautiful flower beds in full bloom.
