I am excited to be voting for Jo Comerford who is running as a write-in-candidate for the Franklin-Hampshire-Worcester state Senate District. While I admire the other three candidates vying for this seat, who have much to offer, I feel Jo is the best person to replace Stan Rosenberg and to represent those of us in western Massachusetts.

As the campaign director of MoveOn.org, she has continued to hone her leadership skills and as the executive director of the National Priorities Project, the financial expertise that she gained will be much needed at this time of dwindling funding for so many important and needed services.

Jo will bring her vision, knowledge and integrity to all she does and I believe she will make the most informed decisions regarding our needs for affordable health care, renewable energy, quality education for everyone, food security, jobs that pay a living wage, affordable housing for all, good reliable public transportation, etc.

This is a daunting task in light of climate change and the increasingly devastating weather events we are seeing, the eroding of our rights, the proliferation of the military and nuclear weapons and the money being diverted to pay for these escalating ventures, and the unstable situation and chaos in our federal government. We need someone with Jo’s expertise to represent us and to guide us to do all we can to make our communities equitable and safe for all.

So please join me and vote for Jo on Sept. 4. Write in Jo Comerford, 186 Federal St., Northampton, MA and go to Jocomerford.org to learn more and to volunteer.
