Mark Graves posted a plus-6 point quota, finishing first in the A Division at Thursday’s Edge Hill Golf Course men’s league.
Graves shot the low gross of the night with a 38, while Bill Buck had the low net in the A Division at 35.
In the B Division, Paul Champigny’s plus-4 quota was best, and he had the low gross with a 40.
Skip Heddens posted a 33 to nab low net honors.
Greenfield practice schedule
Greenfield High School football practice opens today at 4 p.m. The doors open at 3 at Vet’s Field, with practice at 4.
The rest of the fall slate opens practice next week. Here’s the starting times for the various sports:
Aug. 23 — Field hockey, 9 a.m. (back fields), boys’ soccer, 9 a.m. (back fields), volleyball, 9 a.m. (Nichols Gymnasium), golf, 1 p.m. (Country Club of Greenfield), cross-country, 3 p.m. (back fields), cheerleading, 3:30 p.m. (motion studio at GHS)
Aug. 26 — Girls’ soccer, 7 p.m. (back fields)
Greenfield Middle School athletics will have an information meeting on the first day of school for practice. All students must be registered on Family ID and have a hard copy of their physical to give to the coach before they can participate.
Franklin Tech practices
Franklin County Technical School football practice opens today. All prospective athletes should report at 4 p.m. with a copy of their most recent physical for helmet distribution. Practice will begin immediately afterward.
On Aug. 23, cross-country will begin practicing at 9 a.m. Boys’ soccer starts at 3 p.m. that day, while girls’ soccer is at 4, field hockey is at 4, volleyball is from 5:30-7:30, and golf is from 9-11 a.m. at Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club.
FC Babe Ruth
The Franklin County Babe Ruth League is holding a car wash that will serve as a fundraiser as well as sign-ups for the upcoming league’s fall ball season.
The car wash is set for Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Auto Zone on the corner of Silver and Federal Streets.

Newt Guilbault fall sign-ups
The Newt Guilbault Community Baseball League is holding sign-ups for its fall ball season Monday from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Campbell Field concession stand (35 Crocker Ave. in Turners Falls).
The league is open to any player in the community aged 7-12.
The fee, which includes a shirt and hat, is $75 per player or $50 for siblings.
