After a mother and daughter found themselves in a minor car accident on Route 2 in Gill on Tuesday, local firefighters took care to keep the child calm.

The girl and her mother, Katie Sadler, took a precautionary trip to the Baystate Franklin Emergency Room. Sadler’s vehicle was towed away from the scene. The other involved vehicle, a truck towing a boat, was able to be driven away. Gill police, firefighters and Turners Falls firefighters responded to the incident.
