MONTAGUE — A woman was rescued after falling 30 feet down a ravine in Montague Center on Saturday around 1 p.m.

According to Montague Center Fire Department Assistant Chief Rick Sawin, the woman was picking mushrooms when she slipped on mud or wet leaves, then fell about 30 feet. She sustained minor injuries and was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

Montague police and the Montague Center, Turners Falls and Greenfield Fire Departments responded to the scene.
