NORTHFIELD — Philadelphia organist Gary Garletts will be playing at Trinitarian Congregational Church, 147 Main St., on Sunday, Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Kurt Nelson of Dallas, Texas will be preaching. Garlett is minister of music at Ardmore Presbyterian Church. He is the conductor of a large choral group in West Chester, Penn., and a frequent soloist and piano accompanist in the Philadelphia area. He received degrees from Oberlin and Duquesne universities.
Ridge Sunday is an annual service put on by residents of the summer community known as “the Ridge,” that dates to the early 20th century when evangelist Dwight L. Moody’s summer conferences swelled the local population. A special coffee hour will follow.
NORTHFIELD — The once-a-year “Ridge Sunday” community choir under the direction of Janet Abel invites all singers to participate in a rousing and inspiring choral experience on Sunday, Aug. 5 at Trinitarian Congregational Church, 147 Main St., in Northfield.
Rehearsals are Friday, Aug. 3, at 5:30 to 7 p.m., and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. The service is at 9:30 a.m.
