It was a dominant weekend for Cody Booska.
The 22-year old was the only player under par, and he claimed his second Country Club of Greenfield Club Championship Sunday. Booska won by 12 strokes, as his three-round total of seven-under 209 featured rounds of 68-72-69.
Dave Kennedy was the runner-up in the club championship, carding a three-round total of 221 (5-over). Garrett Cousineau and Brett Sirum tied for third at 224 (8-over), followed by Chris Bourbeau in fifth place (225), and Nate Burdick in sixth (226).
Roy Emerson shot two rounds of 81 to take home the President’s Cup with a total of 162 (18-over). Jason Yuryan and Dave Perlmutter tied for second at 19-over, one shot behind at 163.
Tom Gochinski won in a playoff, shooting a two-round total of 3-under 141 to claim the Vice President’s Cup.
Gochinski outlasted John Stacy and Joe Wisneski, who also finished at 3-under 141. Stan Sadowski was fourth at 2-under 142.
Valley Storm tryouts
Tryouts for the 2019 Valley Storm travel softball team will be held at Merritt Field in Sunderland Aug. 3-5.

Tryout dates and times as followed:
• Pitchers and catchers only (all age divisions): Aug. 3 from 6-8 p.m. (Please note, pitchers and catchers will also be asked to attend Saturday and Sunday tryouts.)
• 12U (age 12 or under as of Jan. 1, 2019): Aug. 4 and 5 from 9-10:30 a.m.
• 14U (age 14 or under as of Jan. 1, 2019): Aug. 4 and 5 from 11-12:30
• 16U (age 16 or under as of Jan. 1, 2019): Aug. 4 and 5 from 1-2:30 p.m.
• 18U (age 18 or under as of Jan. 1, 2019): Aug. 4 and 5 from 3-4:30 p.m.

Poets Seat Jr. tourney
The Poets Seat Junior Tennis Tournament is scheduled for Aug. 18-19 at the Beacon Courts in Greenfield.
All players are guaranteed two matches, and there will be a consolation bracket focused on having fun.
The tournament is broken into two divisions: 18-and-under and 14-and-under (both divisions are open to both boys and girls).
