Seems like high time for Tin Man Trump and the Tin Men and Women of both his administration and the Republican Congress to be off to see The Wizard.
Some thoughts on requests from The Great and Powerful Oz:
Trump — Request a brain, obviously. But also a heart. Please. I beseech you. Get a heart. Further requests could include empathy, compassion, kindness, morality, positivity, inclusiveness, hopefulness and a regard for those other than you or your children.
The Tin People of the Trump administration — You must implore The Wizard for the return of your hearts. Because surely you have secreted yours away, not to be called upon while in your current positions. Some brains too, perhaps.
The Republican Congress? Request some nerve. Enough to replace the massive chasm where any sense of justice, nobility and decency may once have presided. Enough to act in the service of your constituents. Enough to stand up and call out loathsome behavior, cruel policy and the tactless, thoughtless manner in which this president has reduced the integrity of our country. Stop sitting silently. Oh, and brains.
America is not this president.
