Kolin Broderick smacked three hits, including a double, and Levi Halla struck out six batters in four-plus innings to lift sixth-seeded Tognarelli Heating & Cooling to a 7-4 victory over third-seeded Nap’s Auto Sales & Service in the quarterfinal round of the Greenfield Minor League Baseball AAA Division playoffs Tuesday evening at Lunt Field.

Cody Yetter, CJ Halla and Aaron Morrissey all added hits for Tognarelli, which advanced to play top-seeded Denny’s Pantry, which had a bye, in the semifinal round Thursday night back at Lunt.

Nap’s was led by Hunter Donahue, who had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Teammate Mason Fiorey also had a big night, recording three hits.

• In the AAA other quarterfinal game Tuesday, fifth-seeded Rotary Club used a huge bases-clearing triple in the top of the sixth inning from Cody Dobosz to pick up a 14-9 victory over fourth-seeded Aubuchon Hardware.

Rotary will play No. 2 Freedom Credit in Thursday’s other semifinal. Both games begin at 5:30 at Lunt.

Rotary’s Will Glazier and Jackson Glazier had two hits apiece to lead the offensive barrage. Dobosz’s triple came with his team trailing by a run in the sixth.

Also recording hits in the win for Rotary were Gavin Arsenault, Brayden Arsenault, Mike Cyhowski and Jaida Menard.

Aubuchon’s Grayson Thomas and Ethan Mauthe had two hits apiece to power their club. Bradley Welcome, Nico Siano, Brody Welcome, Sam Eckstrom and Jack Laurie also contributed hits.

Cal Ripken 11U

Brayden Thayer and Ethan Quinn had three hits apiece, and the Greenfield All-Stars picked up a 5-1 win over the Frontier All-Stars in Game 1 of the best-of-three Cal Ripken 11U District Tournament Tuesday night at Herlihy Field in Whately.

Game 2 is set for Friday night at Lunt Field in Greenfield, with an if-necessary Game 3 to be played on Sunday.

Thayer and Quinn each added an RBI, with Thayer roping a triple on the night for Greenfield. Braeden Tsipenyuk was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double, while Cam Burnett had two hits and a run and William Ainsworth added a hit and a run.

Jackson Campbell tossed three innings of relief on the mound to earn the victory for Greenfield. Hugh Cyhowski started and struck out five in two innings while Quinn struck out the side in the final inning.

Frontier led 1-0 into the third before Greenfield tied the game in the frame and took the lead with three runs in the fourth.

Frontier’s Kaden James and Michael Hioe had the two hits, while the pitching trio of Aidan Heffernan, Owen Babb and Sam Whitney combined for six strikeouts on the mound.

Mickey Mantle

Behind a stellar outing from lefty Jordan Grenier, the Hilltown Hardwood Flooring Diamond Dawgs picked up a 9-2 win over Frontier Polish American Citizens Club in a Pioneer Valley Youth Baseball League Mickey Mantle baseball game Tuesday night in Buckland.

Grenier struck out 11 in five innings, allowing just one unearned run to nab the victory. He added a hit at the plate as well, while Dylan Allen and Matt Pollen paced the offense with two hits each. Max Leh and Jake Burnett both had doubles, and Anthony Moffatt also had a hit. Jared Jacobs struck out three in an inning of work.

Frontier received two hits from Dillon Polan, including a double, while Gabe Gochinski and Xavier Santiago each had hits.

Sandy Koufax

Jason Quinn and Robby Kenyon combined to strike out eight batters in five innings, limiting Dalton to just two hits, and Pioneer Stone Seals/Travel Kuz cruised to a 13-0 victory Tuesday night in a PVYBL Sandy Koufax contest at Pine Grove Park in Dalton.

Dalton Henderson had two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs to go with three runs scored. Jake Dodge also had two hits to go with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Quinn registered two hits and an RBI.

Also contributing offensively for Stone Seals/Travel Kuz were Josh Brunelle (single, two RBIs), Kenyon (single, RBI), Cayden Lehtomaki (single, RBI) and Corbin Leh (single).

• Elsewhere, Tyler Dubreuil had two hits, but the Hubie’s Tavern Diamond Dawgs fell to Amherst, 11-2, in a Sandy Koufax game at Ziomek Field in Amherst.

Rueben Bassett, Roscoe Palmer, Connor Bobala and Jake Croteau all had hits for the Diamond Dawgs, which received a combined seven strikeouts in the pitching circle from Bassett and Sam Schrieber.

FC Babe Ruth

Pitcher Pat Boyden tossed six innings to earn the victory and Liam Skribiski-Banack went 2-for-3 to lift Parody Builders to a 7-5 win over Turners Falls Athletic Club in a Franklin County Babe Ruth League contest Monday at Abercrombie Field.

Trevor Lapinski and Gillis MacDougall both went 3-for-4 for TFAC.
