TURNERS FALLS — Although a car struck the side of a house on Montague City Road Friday, police called the accident “relatively minor.”

The home, in the area of 404 Montague City Road, was hit sometime around 2:45 p.m., according to Montague Police Sgt. James Deery. The vehicle struck gas meters on the side of the home, Deery said. No injuries nor gas leaks were reported, and it was said to be a low-impact and low-speed accident.

“It was (a) relatively minor motor vehicle accident,” Deery said.

Berkshire Gas was called to the scene to assess the damage of the gas meters and the company is determining if the meters need to be replaced.

Deery said the accident and cause are still under investigation.
