SHELBURNE FALLS — Graduates of the former Arms Academy are seeking fellow alumni to join the Arms Academy in marching in the June 23 parade, in celebration of Shelburne’s 250th anniversary.

Arms Academy was the public high school for Shelburne and surrounding towns from the late 1800s until 1967, says Alumni Association President Muriel (Bolduc) Zrauniq.

“Participation in the mile-long, 3 p.m. parade can be as simple as marching along with classmates and 20th-century vintage cars,” she said. “Two people are needed to carry the Arms parade banner. If there is a group interested in creating a float, an entry would be welcome.”

The parade will start at Cricket Field in Buckland, then down to the Iron Bridge, ending at the Buckland Shelburne Elementary School.
