It would be great if the Recorder had more sparkling debate.

America overwhelmingly voted “no confidence” in the leftist ideology of President Obama when they voted Donald Trump into the presidency. What is it that ordinary people think and believe? Why does Utopia as promised by the political left seem so false to them? As Stephen Fry admitted on the “Munk Debates on Political Correctness” last weekend: The right didn’t win because it is so great, but because the left miserably failed.

When you stereotype millions of people as “deplorables,” you have crossed into the realm of hate and intolerance that is not like liberals at all. Liberals and leftists as far as this ordinary, white, working person, seem, well, really uncertain about what they believe and why. It almost seems like the left has built a religion that does nothing but destroy what other people think and believe. If anyone has any moral certainty, they must be absolutely wrong. Silence them. It’s like instant gratification on steroids. Agree with the party line or you are out. Really? Outraged ideologues, great, there goes another family dinner.

So, I am writing, and hope to continue to write, not to protest in rage and vent my disgust at people with different ideals, but to offer fresh perspective from an unlikely source. I would like the chance to redeem myself from the “deplorable” box Hillary has unfairly put me in. She doesn’t know anything about me. Neither do you, right? So, this ought to be super interesting what we can learn. And, it’s important to argue with people whose ideas you don’t like. It makes you think, learn and listen. And, hopefully think better. Right?
