GREENFIELD — A dog reported missing after a single-vehicle crash on I-91 southbound was found safe around 2 a.m. Tuesday.
The tan pit bull named Jayda was injured and missing after a Nissan with New Jersey license plates crashed into trees off the roadway Monday night. The four occupants refused medical treatment and stayed on scene while the vehicle was towed. Attempts to find the dog that evening were unsuccessful.
The Facebook page “Missing Dogs Massachusetts” told the Recorder on Tuesday that Jayda had been found after a good Samaritan brought the owners back to the accident location. The dog was reportedly in good shape.
Massachusetts State Police has not yet determined a cause of the crash.
