Josalyn Eastman’s RBI single plated the game-winning run as Pipione’s Sport Shop walked off with a 6-5 win over the Diamond Dusters in a Greenfield Girls Softball League game Thursday night at Murphy Park in Greenfield.
Margarette Howland (2-for-2, 2 RBIs) his an RBI double earlier in the sixth inning to tie the score. Eastman finished with three RBIs in the win, and Alysia Knapp earned the victory with 13 strikeouts.
Holly Myers struck out 15 in the loss and also hit a two-run double. Cordelia Guerin went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Madison Liimatainen went 2-for-3.
• Close games were the theme of the night, as Gianna DiSciullo drove in the winning runs to lift Descavich Plumbing to a 17-16 win over Conte Office Interior in Ponytail Division action Thursday.
DiSciullo, Lilly Ross and Addie Rotkiewicz combined for six strikeouts in the win. Addie Broady, Abby Hood, Ross and Carly Blanchard all singled while DiSciullo’s two-run double sealed the win.
Conte’s Yaya Noeun had a single and a double, while Shay France notched two hits.
• In Lil Nipper play Thursday, Ashlyn Koscinski was 3-for-3, and Ren Gradoia had two hits to power Lundgren Honda to a 3-1 win over Gilmore & Farrell Insurance.
Alexa Minckler and Ameliya Galbraith were each 3-for-3 for Gilmore & Farrell.
• Elsewhere, Madison Lemay, Grace Laurie and Carson Farrell all went 3-for-3, and Bella Estabrook had two hits to help Camelot Carpet Cleaners to a 5-5 tie with Freedom Credit Union.

Sofia Holden struck out nine in three innings of no-hit softball and also hit a solo home run to finish with three hits and three RBIs as the Bernardston Blaze defeated Hinsdale, 16-0, in a Tri-County League softball game Thursday night in Hinsdale, N.H.
Nina Holden struck out the side in one inning and also had two hits and two RBIs for the Blaze, while Amelia Keeler doubled, singled and drove a run. Katie Trenholm and Allison Clary each had one hit and one RBI. Samara Clark and Daytona Boyd combined to strike out eight in the loss, and Boyd had the lone hit for Hinsdale.
• Elsewhere, Ellis Benitez struck out nine batters to earn the victory in the pitching circle, sending the Bernardston-Northfield Cougars to a 16-6 win over Erving.
Elena Witherell singled three times and drove in a pair of runs, while Calla McKeon had a double and two singles with an RBI, and Kathie Fuller singled and drove in two runs.
Erving’s Carly Norwood had a double and two singles, and Hailey Haughey added a pair of hits.
Frontier Ripken
Dylan Camp had three hits, including a double, and drove in a run on Thursday night as Yankee Candle edged Pekarski’s, 6-5, in a Frontier Cal Ripken baseball game in Hatfield.
Owen Babb and Margaret Edwards each had two hits and a run in the win, while Jonny Scagel and Mason Thornton each had one hit and one RBI. Thornton earned the win and combined with Claire Kirkendall and Babb for 11 strikeouts.
Kyle Begos and Sam Whitney combined to strike out 11 in the loss. Aiden Bickford and Sam Whitney each had one hit and one RBI in the loss, and Cooper Whitney had a hit.

Ryan Pulizari clubbed a double and a home run and drove in four runs, and Maniatty Real Estate defeated Gilmore & Farrell Insurance, 15-5, in a Greenfield Minor League Baseball Major Division contest Thursday night at Vets Field.
Dylan Archer was 3-for-3 with two RBI for Maniatty, which received two hits and two RBI each from Brody Gagne and Cam Burnett. Michael Stennes had a hit and drove in a run, while Matt Lavoine captured the victory on the mound.
Gilmore & Farrell was led by Bryce Avery’s two hits, including a double. Jake Petrin doubled, and Dillon Gagnon also had a hit.
• In AA action, William Renaud, Kristian Yagovone, Tommy Clary and Jordan Welcome all had two hits to help Cohn & Co. to an 11-11 tie with Lundgren Honda Thursday night.
Asa Bouchard totaled three hits for Lundgren, which received two hits each from Bodie Burke and Tyler Zdanowicz. Burke struck out six of the seven batters he faced.
Charlie Vera’s three hits led Freedom, and Shylan Luippold added a pair of hits.
• In other AA action, Bobby C’s DJ Service pounded out 25 hits to edge P&B, 18-17.
Montague Co-Rec
Jason Bohonowicz had two hits including a grand slam and Between the Uprights edged Fairview Landscape, 13-9, in a Montague Co-Rec Adult Softball League game Thursday night at Unity Park in Turners Falls.
Cody Pease had two hits including a home run in the win, and Jaclyn Lafleur had two hits.
Ainslee Penfield and Maddy Atkocartes each had two hits in the loss.
• Elsewhere, Joe Guidaboni’s grand slam powered Business & Pleasure to a 23-19 win over Johnson Controls on Thursday.
Rilee Stafford was 5-for-5 with four runs in the win for B & P, while teammate Christopher Desautels was also 5-for-5 with five runs.
Johnson Controls was paced by Jake Benedict and Jeremy Damon, who combined for seven hits and four home runs. Brad Barrett was 4-for-5 with a triple.
Greenfield Co-Rec
Alan Mailloux went 4-for-4 with two home runs on Wednesday night and Smitty’s Pub defeated Montague Elks, 17-15, in a Greenfield Co-Rec Adult Softball League action at Greenfield Middle School.
John Ollari belted a pair of home runs in the win, and Bree Richotte went 3-for-4 with a home run.
Joe McMillan slugged two home runs in the loss.
• In other action, Jake Coburn went 4-for-5 with a double and a home run to lead Beck’s Automotive past Penfield Construction, 15-7, at Hillside Park.
Luis Melendez went 4-for-4 with three doubles in the win, while Kelly Sadler and Crystal Wilkinson each had two hits.
Wally Gagne had three hits including two doubles in the loss, and Nick Aldrich went 3-for-3.
Timmons League
Andy Lesenski’s 33 was good enough to take home match medalist honors, and he and George Hall also captured the low gross of 33 at Thursday night’s Timmons League at Northfield Golf Course.
The low net of 29 was posted by Jeff Kenney and David Bonnett.
Norm LaCoy was closest to the pin on No. 6 (12 feet, 10 inches), and Trevor Blake was closest on No. 7 (6-6).
Ashfield Women’s
Barb Ladd, Diane O’Connell and Kelly Dubrule shot a 35 to win the three-person scramble during the Ashfield Community Golf Club’s Thursday Morning Women’s League.
The trio also won fewest putts with 15.
Elks League
Mike Larabee and Tom Rogers lead the Greenfield Elks League with 23 points after Week 4 at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Dick Golosh and Sharon Rawson are just behind with 22½ points. Bob Zaikowski and Greg Call are tied for third with Frank McDonald and Art Belanger with 22 points.
Thomas Ladies
Anne Corrinet’s plus-8 quota put her atop the Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club’s Ladies League Wednesday in Turners Falls.
Debbie Puchalski was next at plus-7, followed by Sue Overstreet at plus-5. Overstreet was closest to the pin on No. 7 (8 feet), and the team best-ball competition was won by the squad of Jane Smith, Jenn Murphy, Chante Jillson and Barb Howey with a 37.
Golf
Deerfield Academy finished second at the 45th annual Kingswood Invitational Tournament at the Oak Ridge Golf Club in Agawam on Wednesday.
The Big Green finished with a score of 392 to finish behind winner Wilbraham & Monson Academy, which finished with a score of 378. Kimberly Stafford shot a 73 to finish fifth overall out of over 100 golfers. Deerfield finished the season 15-0.
Lowell Weil and Ben Hirsch each shot a 76, while Garrett Moe shot a 79.
