Andre Widmer hit an inside the park grand slam to lead Turners Falls Athletic Club to a 12-0 win over Pipione’s Sport Shop in a Newt Guilbault Community League baseball game Friday at Gamelin Field in Turners Falls.

Alex Sulda singled and tripled in the win, and Jack Doyle singled and doubled. Daniel Widmer hit an RBI double, and Matt Field singled. Alex Sulda and Ryan Demers combined on the shutout.

Logan Addison doubled for Pipione’s, and Derek Wissman and Matt Crossman each had one hit. Wissman struck out eight in four innings.

Hannah Gilbert hit an RBI triple, and Elias Urquhart hit an RBI single to lead Freedom Credit Union past Tognarelli Heating & Cooling, 11-9, in a Greenfield Minor League AAA Division baseball game Friday.

Chase Zraunig singled, and Maddex Hubert and Landen Benz each had an RBI. Noah Waterman played well defensively, and Jackson Petrin struck out five in relief to earn the win.

Levi Halla hit a three-run double for Tognarelli, and Tristan James singled.

• In other action, Evan Tsipenyuk doubled and also struck out six to help Nap’s Auto Sales & Service to a 15-7 win over Aubuchon Hardware.

George Gutierrez had three hits in the win, while Jayden Hunter and Jonathan Ainsworth each had two hits.

Sam Eckstrom, Bradley Welcome and Nico Siano each had a hit in the loss.

• Finally, Denny’s scored once in the bottom of the sixth inning to get past Rotary Club, 9-8.

Camden Guertin had two hits for Denny’s, while Arthur Fitzpatrick, Aiden Shea, Nate Johnston, Juda Glenn and Dylan Breiwick each had one hit.

Gavin Arsenault had two doubles and two RBIs in the loss. Will Glazier had three hits and two RBIs, and Jackson Glazier had two hits.

Mohawk Youth

Owen Taylor went 3-for-4 and struck out three batters in two innings on the mound to help Ashfield to a 16-8 win over Charlemont Royals in a Mohawk Youth League Major Division game on Friday.

Grady Patenaude went 2-for-2 and scored twice in the win, and Jack Gancarz singled and drove in a run.

Cole Brenizer pitched three strong innings for Charlemont, while Brody Hicks went 3-for-4 and played great defensively at shortstop.

Kelly Baird struck out 15 on Friday night and also had two hits and two RBIs to lead Crocker Communication to a 9-7 win over Descavich Plumbing in a Greenfield Girls Softball League Ponytail Division game at Murphy Park in Greenfield.

MacKenzie Paulin had one hit and one RBI in the win, and Taylor Menard had one hit.

Lilly Ross struck out six for Descavich, while Abby Hood, Addie Rotkiewicz, and Carly Blanchard all had hits.

• In Lil Nipper action, Jamilyn Sears went 5-for-5 and the Purple Panthers walked off against Harper’s Store, 7-6.

Ivy Lopez and Chloe Bigelow had four hits apiece.

Ella Rotkiewicz and Ava Worden went 5-for-5 for Harper’s.

• Elsewhere, Grace Laurie, Abbi Lawall and Destiny Rodriguez each went 4-for-4 to help Camelot Carpet Cleaners to a 12-1 win over Gilmore & Farrell Insurance.

Lucja Yagodzinski and Ameliya Galbraith each had two hits for Gilmore & Farrell.

Wardwell edged fellow competitor Jeffrey Blomstedt, who also shot 75, by a match of cards.
