ASHFIELD — A woman was injured in a single-car rollover Monday morning on Route 112, Ashfield Mountain.
According to Ashfield Police Chief Beth Bezio, the crash occurred around 10:55 a.m. Bezio said the vehicle was heading up the mountain, toward Ashfield center, when the driver apparently veered off the road, striking a boulder, which caused the car to flip over. The driver, who was not named, was able to get out of the vehicle and was conscious and alert. Airbags were deployed.
The driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
