Though I am not a forest management person, nor a logger, and not part of a government or regulatory agency, and not an economic development person, I have a suggestion.
Before going any further into something that will not easily be gotten out of, if history shows us anything, please back off a bit and take the time to get a copy of Wendell Berry’s book, “The Way of Ignorance,” and thoughtfully read it.
We live in one of those wonderful places with many efforts being made to wisely care for our environment, to do sustainable things.
Think about the big picture. This project, the Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership, once begun, does not come with a “redo” button.
