Deerfield

Memorial Hall Museum, 8 Memorial St., will open its 138th season with “Always in Bloom” with a free weekend of botanically inspired activities Saturdays and Sunday. Free admission during opening weekend includes a floral-themed scavenger hunt and an array of free art activities for adults and children. On Saturday, Orra White Hitchcock’s herbarium and other museum objects will inspire staff-led workshops for adults from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with nearby art activities for children ages six and older. The Senior Center in Shelburne will host Conversation Cafe on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the center. Kate Stevens, retired pastor, will speak on “The Road Home: A Spiritual Pilgrimage to the South.” She recently undertook a three-month, 6,000 mile pilgrimage to the Southern states to better understand the racial history of this country. Fire Safety Program: On Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, the Shelburne, Buckland and Shelburne Center Fire Departments will offer a Fire Safety Program. These departments have been awarded a fire safety grant from the Massachusetts Dept. of Fire Services to offer fire safety education, home safety visits and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to residents in Buckland and Shelburne. Free Reiki Sessions: Breast cancer patients and survivors in Franklin County are eligible to receive free individual Reiki sessions, thanks to a grant from Rays of Hope. Reiki practitioners will offer sessions on Saturday mornings at 474 Main St., Suite 2. Reiki is described as a healing energy therapy, which can help provide relaxation and energy, decrease pain or anxiety, and promote physical, mental and emotional health. Stone Soup Cafe: meal at All Souls Church, Greenfield, on Saturdays at noon this is the only community meal on the weekend in Franklin County. As a pay what you can offering, those who can afford to make a donation may do so while others who cannot are never discriminated against or turned away. Food includes vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Rep. Paul Mark office hours: Mark hosts office hours at various Franklin County town halls this year.
