Thank you to all the first responders and compassionate Gill residents who helped us after we were hit by a car after visiting UMASS Amherst for our son’s college tour on April 17.
The kindness of the neighbor bringing our daughter warm blankets and the shop owner bringing bottled water over. The Gill firefighters stabilizing our son – so scary seeing him with a neck brace on a stretcher – and who calmed our daughter and realized she needed help too. The Gill policeman who calmly and kindly spoke with my husband. And the EMTS who looked after us and got us quickly to the hospital.
You were all so kind to us, and it is all very much appreciated. We are all okay – bumps and bruises and our son has a mild concussion – but it could have been much worse. We will always remember how strangers stepped up when we were in need.
Thank you.
