Our new Senior Center at the John Zon Community Center is shaping up.

Curving walkways complement the building and parking nicely. The topsoil, however, concerns us. It’s not up to snuff. Across the entire site there are rocks as big as softballs, chunks of concrete, asphalt, brick, broken glass, and debris.

This is not the topsoil we deserve. Dear town leaders, please make sure there is good clean topsoil, worthy of our community, and worthy of plantings soon to come.

We envision community gardens, native plants, wildflowers, pollinator and edible plants, as well as the more traditional grass, bushes and bulbs.
