3:28 p.m. — Report of shoplifting at BJ’s Wholesale Club. Officer to investigate.

3:50 p.m. — Accident reported at Federal and Silver streets. One person transported to hospital.

6:32 p.m. — Report of malicious destruction; a gray 2001 Volvo was seen driving fast through Green River Cemetery, causing damage.

Greenfield, March 28

7:38 p.m. — Report of robbery on Elm Street; caller says she was attacked by two men who took her money and pushed something into her back, no injuries. They were wearing dark sweatpants and sweatshirts, ran into woods.

Greenfield, March 29 

2:02 a.m. — Disturbance on Cleveland Street; subject allegedly “flashed a gun” in his clothing during argument. Turned out to be a pellet gun, subject said displaying it was unintentional.

12:23 p.m. — Shoplifting at Stop & Shop. Man seen on security camera concealing five electric toothbrushes worth $149. Subject to be summonsed.

8:51 p.m. — Steven Boutcher, 38, of Greenfield, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation on Chapman Street., the parking lot where Chapman and Davis streets meet.

Greenfield, April 3

8:20 a.m. — A two-vehicle crash backed up traffic on Bernardston Road for about half an hour. One vehicle was towed and one driver was issued a citation. 

7:43 p.m. — Lucas Johnson, 21, of School Street was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and intimidating a witness, after being stopped by police on Osgood Street. 

Greenfield, April 4

9:46 a.m. — Mark E. St. Peter, 49, of Lunt Drive was arrested on a warrant and a charge of fugitive from justice on court warrant. He was arrested at Lunt Drive after Greenfield District Court probation officers instructed police he had a probation warrant from Connecticut and was in the area. 

9:55 a.m. — Phillip H. Paquette-Goulette, 24, of the streets of Greenfield was arrested on a warrant. 

9:08 p.m. — Robert Blake, 43, of West Street was arrested on a warrant and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, attaching plates to a motor vehicle, an unregistered motor vehicle and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was stopped near CVS on Federal Street. 

11:42 p.m. — A fence from the construction of the new garage fell on several vehicles, leaving at least one damaged, in the parking lot behind Hope and Olive. 

Greenfield, April 5

1:52 a.m. — A large tree limb came down, blocking one lane of traffic on Interstate 91, headed northbound. 

3:23 a.m. — A large tree limb came down near Stoneleigh Burnham on Bernardston Road. Eversource and the state Department of Public Works arrived to the scene. 

5:04 a.m. — A tree came down near Stop & Shop on Route 2, but because it was on private property, the caller was told he’d have to clear it himself. 

5:15 a.m. — Frederick E. Werbicki, 39, of Southampton was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and vandalizing property. He was found on High Street following a call to police about a male in the hallway of a building, hitting things with a shovel. 

5:37 a.m. — Report of wires down on Adams Road requiring Verizon and Eversource to respond. 

Greenfield, April 6

10:33 p.m. — A welfare check of a person at Cumberland Farms on Federal Street found an individual who had reportedly overdosed, refused medical treatment and was issued a summons for possession of heroin. 

Greenfield, April 8

8:42 a.m. — Two clients of the Franklin Recovery Center on Federal Street were “thrown out.” Earlier in the morning two other patients were removed, one at 7:22 and the other at 7:56.  

10:56 a.m. — A furnace reportedly caught fire at a West Street home requiring the response of multiple Greenfield Fire Department engines. 

Greenfield, April 9

3:39 p.m. — A safe with a gun inside of it was reported stolen from a Chapman Street residence. 

5:49 p.m. — A chihuahua was reported running around Pray Drive, barking at children. One person tried to catch the dog and she was bit. 

8:06 p.m. — Harry H. Sagan Jr., 69, of Thayer Road was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or greater, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and marked lanes violation. He was stopped by police near Chapman and Main streets.

Greenfield, April 13

12:42 p.m. — Chairs and tables on display outside of Andy’s and The Oak Shoppe on Deerfield Street were reportedly damaged. 

5:54 p.m. — A report of a package that smells like marijuana, from Staples at Big Y Plaza. The package was opened per UPS work, the report reads. It was found to be a “marijuana infused” women’s dress, from a factory outlet in Iowa. The package was turned back over to UPS. 

Greenfield, April 14

8:51 a.m. — David T. Timberlake-Salter, 33, of Pond Street was arrested on a warrant after being stopped near his residence. 

Greenfield, April 15

1:17 a.m. — Andrew N. Straughn, 27, of Chestnut Street in Turners Falls was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or greater and marked lanes violation. He was stopped on Turners Falls Road.
