CONWAY — As is custom before annual Town Meeting, residents will gather next month for a non-partisan community potluck to discuss agenda items, and meeting procedures and definitions.

“Like past pre-Town Meeting gatherings, the evening is an opportunity for discussion that is informal, non-partisan, and without the time pressure often felt at Town Meeting,” says a press statement about the potluck, which will be held April 30, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Conway Grammar School.

Those who wish to attend are encouraged to come with questions, and bring a desert to share, reusable utensils, and a cup or mug. Anyone who wishes to speak to an article is encouraged to bring handouts. Beverages will be provided.

“The meeting is to help people be well-informed voters and to have some time to think about what is being proposed, as a supplement to the democratic process of town meeting,” the statement continues.
