The Frontier Regional School baseball team will hold its second annual Home Run Ham Raffle Friday at 7 p.m. at the South Deerfield Polish American Citizen’s Club.

There will be prizes from local businesses, including Gianni Figs, Hitchcock Brewing, Fairview Farms, Tea Guys, Holiday Pizza, Wolfies and Triple B Blasting, as well as grand prizes that include Boston Red Sox tickets and cash.

Montague Parks programs

The Montague Parks & Recreation Department has several upcoming programs for the spring season.

• Tee-Ball — Open to children 4 through 6 and runs from April 21 through June 2 on Saturday mornings from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. Cost is $35 for residents and $40 for non-residents as of March 23, and $5 more after that.

• Rookie League — Open to children ages 7 through 9 and runs from April 21 through June 2 on Saturday mornings from 9 until 10:30. Features intra-squad games and coach-pitch. All players should bring their own gloves. Cost is $40 for residents and $45 for non-residents.

• Nipper League Softball — The Purple Panthers team. Open to girls ages 7 through 9. Runs early April until mid-June. Cost is $65 for residents and $70 for non-residents. All games are played at Murphy Park in Greenfield as part of the Greenfield Girls’ Softball League.

Deadline to register for all teams is March 30.

GHS Can/Bottle Drive

The Greenfield High School baseball team will hold its annual Bottle and Can Drive on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at Ruggeri’s Beverage and Redemption Center on Deerfield Street in Greenfield.

Players will be going around to homes to collect cans and bottles. People can drop off cans and bottles behind Ruggeri’s Saturday morning, or call coach Tom Suchanek at 774-4535 to schedule a player to pick up returnables.

Babe Ruth registrations

It’s Franklin County Babe Ruth Baseball sign-up time.

The league will hold signup sessions at both Pioneer Valley Regional School and Frontier Regional School this evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Officials will also be at both schools next week on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 until 7:30.

The league will be on hand Friday at Greenfield Middle School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Enter through the door off Sanderson Street. League officials will also be on hand for registrations at GMS on Wednesday and March 30.

The league is open to ballplayers ranging in age from 13 to 15. The cutoff date is April 30, which means candidates can’t turn 13 or 16 before that date. The league is also open to 12-year-olds, who are playing on the regulation 90-foot diamonds.
