NORTHFIELD — A presentation on how climate change could affect the region will be held Thursday at the Dickinson Memorial Library.

The Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust, along with UMass professor Scott Jackson, will be presenting “What does climate change mean for Northfield’s forests and streams?” Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event will take place at the library at 115 Main St. Refreshments will be available. RSVP is encouraged because space is limited.

Jackson, an extension associate professor at the Department of Environmental Conservation at UMass, according to the UMass website, will be presenting information during the event.

Jackson has a number of environmental focuses, according to his Department of Environmental Conservation’s online biography. Among Jackson’s current efforts is the Massachusetts Wildlife Climate Action Tool, an online resource that provides users with information on the effects of climate change on wildlife and habitats.
