GREENFIELD — The 12th annual YMCA in Greenfield’s Girls Day Out is scheduled for Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., and organizers promise it’s bigger and better than ever.
“Girls, women, mothers and grandmothers of all ages are invited to come and pamper themselves this Sunday,” said Dawn Dorsey, YMCA Health & Wellness director. This includes a variety of group exercise classes. Adult girls (ages 15-plus) can soak in the Jacuzzi, swim laps and have a free chair massage while those over the age of 12 can try scuba (at 2 p.m.)
There will be $500 in door prizes and refreshments will be sold by the Y’s Gymnastic Team to help the team go to meets. The first 100 people can enter to win $100.
“Forty-two local vendors who specialize in products and services important to women will be present. Some of the products are jewelry, cookware, make-up, foot care, bone density screening, handbags, candles and tarot card reading,” Jayne Trosin, fitness director, said. And Dr. Julie Thompson of Nourish Health will talk about “Simple Clean Eating in a Busy World” at 1 p.m.,
