It was a chilly end-of-November Sunday outside the walls of Colrain First Baptist Church, but that didn’t stop the warmth and celebration of the annual Christmas in Colrain concert.

Windows and doors were decorated with wreaths and red bows. Inside the church, the room was filled with those in Christmas-themed gear and the worship hall was outfitted with pine trimming.

About 70 people attended the event, which included performances from the Moldovan Choir, The Connecticut River Flute Choir, The Hollister Family and the First Baptist Church Choir, plus solo performances.

Those performances included religious songs like “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” and “When Will the Little King Come?” as well as more contemporary songs like “12 Days of Christmas,” “Baby it’s Cold Outside” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

The concert was led by John Hollister and included a reading of Luke 2:1, which is the biblical story of the birth of Jesus. The Rev. James Rennie opened the celebration.
