The Greenfield Suburban League basketball teams are holding tryouts for the upcoming season.
The organization has both a grades 5 and 6 team and a grades 7 and 8 team and players must reside in or attend Greenfield Schools to be eligible.
Tryouts will take place Monday and Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. at Greenfield Middle School, and Oct. 27 (7 p.m.) and Oct. 28 (9 a.m. until noon) at Greenfield High School.

Erving League
Matt Deane and Frank Penny combined to shoot low-gross honors with a 38 at the final week of the Erving League held Tuesday night at Northfield Golf Course.
On the net side, Robert B. Thurber Jr. teamed with Tiny Tim King for a winning score of 30.
The closest to the pin contests were won by Frank Ribeiro on No. 6 (5 feet, 2 inches) and Thurber Jr. (14-6) on No. 7.
Deane was the match medalist with a score of 39.
The season-long Erving Cup competition was won by Deane with 65 points. The Erving Cap, which is the low net competition, was won by Penny with 22 points.
