Walt Sanieski and Duff Delano shot even-par 36 to win low gross at Wednesday night’s Timmons League held at Northfield Golf Course.
Matt Deane, Rick Stempel and George Northrup all shot 39 to share match medalist honors. Cody Lapine and Jerry Gomarlo took the low net with a 27, while Ed Gillespie was closest to the pin on No. 6 (28 feet, 2 inches) and Deane was closest on No. 7 (7-4).
NMH volleyball
Ashlin Spitzer put down 12 kills while Steph Voge added nine to lift Northfield Mount Hermon to a 3-0 sweep of Cushing Academy on Wednesday.
The Hoggers (4-1) were paced at the service line by Maya Nayman (eight aces) and Leah Leslie (seven), while Alisa Canney (five kills) and Nayman (four kills) also contributed in the win. Siobhan Moore led the team with 16 assists while Angie Tran added eight.

Chase’n A Mason 5K
The ninth annual Chase’n A Mason 5K Road Race will be held Oct. 7 at 9:30 a.m. at Masonic Lodge on Masonic St. in Turners Falls.
