The Frontier Regional School girls’ volleyball team is holding a “Pack The House Night” on Thursday at Goodnow Gymnasium in South Deerfield.
The Red Hawks are hosting Amherst Regional High School that day with the middle school (4 p.m.), junior varsity (5 p.m.) and varsity (6 p.m.) all playing. The Volleyball Booster Club will have food, raffles, a 50/50 and free prizes, including gift cards all day. There will also be a special presentation during the varsity match.
Hoop coach
The Great Falls Middle School girls’ basketball team is seeking a coach for the upcoming season.

New officials course
The Hampshire-Franklin International Association of Approved Basketball Officials will hold New Candidates Classes on Wednesday nights at 7 beginning this Wednesday and lasting through November 15 at Amherst Regional High School.
Anyone interested in officiating high school or middle school should sign up and attend classes to prepare for the two-part IAABO National Exam on Nov. 6 and Nov. 20.
Andy Rogers and Jim Cleveland will run the class, which costs $150 and includes rule book, materials and examination fee.

Glenn Brown Outing
Roy Emerson, Vinny Melendez, Bill Buck and Ray Dew shot a 54 to take first place in the Glenn Brown Outing Monday at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Jon Gregory Sr., Jon Gregory Jr., Jamie Gregory and Warren Beattie came in second with a 59.
Linda Gregory, Suzy Coutermarsh, Jorda Fisher and Janet Lucier won low net with a 54, and Dave Campbell, Larry Brown, Art Brown and Frank Miles took second with a 57.
Mark K. Memorial
The team of George Hall, Guy Neuman, Sally Malloy and Brian Watrous won a match of cards after shooting a score of 90 to capture first place in the Mark K. Memorial Mixed Golf League end of season tournament Monday at Northfield Golf Course.
Fred Llewelyn, Brian Prondecki, Sandi LaCoy and Butch Trinque also shot 90, as did Al Holmes, Johnny Austin, John Rutka, Bob Zaikowski and Rod Roberge.
Malloy was the longest drive winner on the women’s side, while Erik LaCoy had the men’s longest drive. Prondecki was closest to the line.
Jayne Edwards was closest to the pin at 13 feet, 4 inches for the women, while Norm Cousino was closest for the men at 4½ inches.
