Museum showcases new acquisitions

BERNARDSTON — The Powers Institute Museum, located on the second floor at 20 Church St., will be open Sunday, Sept. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The museum will showcase new acquisitions like early post office memorabilia, old postcards and items from the Abbie Burrows estate. Bill and Greta Shores will assist guests.

Newsletter seeks advertisers

BERNARDSTON — Bernardston’s newsletter is seeking advertisers interested in placing a business card-sized ad in the quarterly town publication.

Advertisers pay $100 for the whole fiscal year, which includes advertising in all four issues distributed to more than 1,000 households and businesses in July, October, January and April, according to a press release. As July has passed, new advertisers can join for the rest of the fiscal year for $75.

In addition to the households and businesses that receive the newsletter by mail, a digital version is available on the Bernardston town website, the release continues. Money raised through advertising helps offset the cost of publication.

Advertisers are asked to email a JPG or PNG digital image of their business cards, or an ad equal to that size, to bernardstonnewsletter@gmail.com by noon on Sept. 6. They also must drop off or mail a check to “The Town of Bernardston” at the Selectboard’s office in Town Hall on Church Street, or to P.O. Box 504, Bernardston, MA 01337.
