SUNDERLAND — A fall townwide tag sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, to raise money for the town’s 300th anniversary celebration.
The effort will be held “as a joint event with the Town of Deerfield’s townwide tag sale,” on the same day, a notice on the town’s website says.
Permit registration is required so maps can be prepared for shoppers. Monetary donations will also be accepted, which will benefit the 300th anniversary events. Contact the town office for more information.
Donation via checks should be made payable to the “Town of Sunderland” and “300th Anniversary” noted in the memo section; mail to Board of Selectmen’s Office Town of Sunderland, 12 School St., Sunderland, MA 01375.
CONWAY — Although there’s no Festival of the Hills this year because of the town’s recent 250th anniversary celebration, the Covered Bridge Classic road race will still be held.
Runners can enter a 10-kilometer race, and fo children there’s a 1.7-mile race. Both start at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1., at 10 a.m. For more information, visit the town’s website.
