The team of Jeff Kenney and Doug Farrick teamed for a low-gross 37 in Timmons League action held Wednesday at Northfield Golf Course.

Farrick was the match medalist with a 38, followed closely by George Northrup and Scott Powers who both carded rounds of 39.

Joe Lisewski and Rick Stempel were the low-net winners with a 27, while Cody Lapine was closest to the pin on No. 6 (16 feet, 1 inch) and Matt Sykes was closest on No. 7 (4-9).

CFC Ladies League

Terry Boyce led the way at the Crumpin Fox Club Ladies League on Wednesday, topping the point quota with a plus-2.

Jill Waldron finished as the runner-up at even-par.

Tennis

Doubles Classic

The People’s Pint Clay Court Doubles Classic will take place Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. at both the Beacon Field and Highland Park Clay Courts.

The event costs $30 per team and teams can be made up of men, women, mixed and juniors. All matches will be best-of-three sets with a seven-point tie-breaker. The event is double-elimination. Gift certificates and merchandise will be awarded to all finalists and consolation-round winners.

Lunch and Lemonade will be provided by the People’s Pint. All proceeds benefit the clay courts in Greenfield.

GHS field hockey car wash

The Greenfield High School field hockey team will hold a car wash on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Shell Station on the Mohawk Trail.

The car wash is free. Donations are accepted.

Greenfield High School released its starting times for fall practices that begin this week. Here’s the rundown:

• Field hockey: Greenfield High School (grades 7-12), today at 9 a.m.

• Golf: Country Club of Greenfield (grades 8-12), today at noon

• Boys’ soccer: Greenfield High School (grades 9-12), today at 2:15 p.m.

• Girls’ volleyball: Nichols Gymnasium (grades 8-12), today at 9 a.m.

• Boys’ and girls’ cross-country: Greenfield High School (grades 8-12), today at 3 p.m.

• Cheerleading: Greenfield High School (grades 9-12), today at 3:30 p.m.

Deerfield rec seeks coach

The Deerfield Recreation Department is looking for a field hockey coach. The instructional program is for children in Union 38 in grades 3-6. Instruction includes drills and skills with no games.
