The People’s Pint Clay Court Doubles Classic will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 9 a.m. at both the Beacon Field and Highland Park Clay Courts.
The event costs $30 per team and can be teams of men, women, mixed and juniors. All matches will be best-of-three sets with a 7-point tie-breaker. The event is double-elimination. Gift certificates and merchandise will be awarded to all finalists and consolation-round winners.
Lunch and Lemonade will be provided by the People’s Pint. All proceeds benefit the clay courts in Greenfield.

Ladies 18 Hole
Phyllis Canon and Teresa Varner tied for low gross in the A Division with a 79 during the Tuesday Morning Ladies 18 Hole Golf League at the Country Club of Greenfield.
Sue Sigda won low net in the A Division with a 61.
Donna Woodcock, Linda Lively and Ann McHugh each carded a 89 to tie for low gross in the B Division. Carla Bernier won low net with a 57.
Matt’s Men’s League
George Handschuh carded a 38 to win low gross in the Matt’s Men’s League at Thomas Memorial Golf & Country Club Tuesday in Turners Falls.
Jeff Miller won low net with a 32. Ken Adams was closest to the pin on No. 7 at 3 feet, 1 inch, while Mark Letourneau was closest on No. 9 at 6-7. Bill Kimball and Bob White had the most points this week with seven. Matt Betsold and Shawn Hubert lead the league with 27½ points, while Letourneau and Al Ghiz sit in second place with 27 points.
Erving League
One day after the solar eclipse, Rodney Ebbighausen and Fred Avery shot the moon with a score of 37 to win low-gross honors at the Erving League Tuesday at the Northfield Golf Club.
Lloyd Grover and Tim Herk captured low net with a 28.
Ben Herk was closest to the pin on No. 6 at 10 feet, 6 inches, while Frank Ribeiro was closest on No. 7 at 21-4. Ebbighausen was the match medalist with a 38.
Matt Deane leads the Erving Cup scoring race with 37 points, while Ebbighausen is second with 27 points, and Ben Herk is third with 26 points.
Edge Hill Men’s
John Walsh shot a 38 to win low gross in the A Division and won the point quota at plus-6 during the Edge Hill Golf Course Tuesday Men’s League in Ashfield.
Bob Story won low net with a 33, and Greg Bergeron was closest to the pin on No. 16 at 18-11.
Paul Champigny won low gross in the B Division with a 42 and was also closest to the pin on No. 16 at 29-6. Tom Lively won the point quota at plus 4½. Butch Whitson won low net with a 33.
