BLACKWELL, Mo. — CNN will be featuring local astronaut Catherine “Cady” Coleman on that network’s coverage of the eclipse today.
With her in Missouri are her husband, “inhabited-planets” glass artist Josh Simpson, and their son, Jamey. They live in Shelburne Center.
According to an email sent by Simpson, Cady Coleman will be featured during the eclipse’s Missouri “totality”: she will explain the eclipse from her perspective as an NASA astronaut, who flew two space shuttle missions and, in 2010, spent six months in space, living inside the International Space Station.
CNN network coverage begins at 1 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time). It can also be viewed on cnn.com.
