Greenfield, Aug. 1

11:43 a.m. — Two females were reported to have gotten into a fight, hitting each other in the face, at or in the area of Village Pizza. Both women were issued summonses, charged with assault and battery and one was additionally charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. 

9:10 p.m. — Police arrested Michael R. Lahoski, 32, of Pierce Street in Greenfield on a warrant arrest. He was located on Sullivan Lane. 

Greenfield, Aug. 2 

1:08 a.m. — Police received a call of an overdose on High Street. MedCare responded and gave two doses of Narcan to the person who overdosed. The caller said the person was “doing dope,” and MedCare found the person in the bathroom with a hypodermic needle. The person was then transported to the Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

Greenfield, Aug. 4

12:11 p.m. — An accident without injuries occurred between a gray 2011 Chevrolet Equinox and a black 1992 Chevrolet S10 near the Elks Lodge, located off of Federal Street.

7:19 p.m. — A Conway Street caller reported a man with a gun came to her apartment identifying himself as a Massachusetts state trooper, but with no uniform. She was concerned he may have been impersonating a trooper, having contacted the State Police barracks in Shelburne Falls to find no one was dispatched to her residence.

Greenfield, Aug. 5

1:35 a.m. — Christie Allen, 24, of High Street in Greenfield, was issued a summons for shoplifting following an incident at CVS on Federal Street. After a witness reported seeing her put an item into her pocket, officers found several items in her pockets that were not on her receipt.

8:51 a.m. — An overdose occurred at the Franklin Recovery Center, located on Federal Street. The patient was revived with Narcan and transported by MedCare to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

Greenfield, Aug. 6

6:36 p.m. — Police arrested two people on assault and battery charges, after responding to a call of one preventing the other from retrieving their belongings while in the woods near Home Depot Plaza. Police arrested Kurt W. Jobst, 60, of Sugarloaf Street in South Deerfield on charges of assault and battery. Police also arrested Danny Ayala-Calcano, 26, homeless and resident of Greenfield, on charges of assault and battery on a family or household member.

7:05 p.m. — A caller at Tractor Supply Company on Newton Street said around 5:15 p.m. the employee was making change of $600 for customer. The employee said they were extremely busy, left the store register cash on the counter and later, while closing the store, the employee realized that money was apparently stolen.

Greenfield, Aug. 7

7:03 p.m. — Police placed a man from Monson in protective custody after they responded to a report of an intoxicated male on High Street, outside of Baystate Franklin Medical Center. Police reported there were no available beds at the detox center, nor were there beds at the Clinical and Support Options (CSO) respite, which he would not have been allowed to go to anyway since he was intoxicated. Instead police placed him in protective custody.

9:14 p.m. — Police responded to a fight between two males on the second floor of the Franklin Recovery Center on Federal Street. The fight was reportedly between two males over one of the males disrespecting staff.

10:10 p.m. — Police responded to a female who was reported to be harassing others in the foyer waiting space at the Franklin Recovery Center. She was not on a waiting list for a bed or registered in any capacity. She was sent on her way by the rehab staff.
