For the second year in a row, Rotary Club reigned supreme in the Greenfield Minor League.
Behind series star Jake Brook’s three hits, Rotary Club won its second consecutive AAA championship with a 12-6 win over Aubuchon Hardware in Game 2 of the best-of-three series Tuesday night at Lunt Field. Rotary captured the title with a 2-0 sweep.
“Everyone contributed. It was a good team effort,” said Rotary Club manager Bobby Campbell.
Will Glazier had two hits for Rotary Club, including a double, while Taryn McDonough added two hits in the victory.
Luca Siano paced Aubuchon Hardware with a double, while Brayden Thayer, Ethan Mauthe and Sam Eckstrom all singled on the night.

Caleb Duncan drove in Nate Fuess with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning, sending New Fortune to an extra-inning 8-7 victory over Maniatty Real Estate that tied up the best-of-three championship series in the GML Majors Division Tuesday night at Lunt Field.
The two teams will play a winner-take-all Game 3 tonight at 5:30 for the GML crown.
Wyatt Edes went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI for New Fortune, which received an outstanding relief appearance from Peter Loud. He tossed 3-plus inning of relief, striking out six to earn the victory for New Fortune.
Matt Houghton, Cody Houghton and Aaron Burstein all registered RBIs in the victory. Charlie Left fielder Boyden made a diving catch in the top of the seventh inning to help keep Maniatty off the board.
Maniatty starter Brody Gagne struck out five batters, while Dylan Archer had two hits and drove in three runs. Jake Petrin also had two hits, while Josh Bordeaux, Julian Rodriguez and James Staelens each drove in a run.
Gavin Rubio blasted a home run and drove in two runs while also striking out eight on the mound, and the Montague Elks got off to a fine start with a 6-4 win over Greenfield Savings Bank in Game 1 of the best-of-three championship series of the Newt Guilbault Community League on Tuesday night at Campbell Field in Turners Falls.
Hugh Cyhowski had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and also struck out eight batters during his action on the mound for the Elks. Caleb Thomas finished a home run shy of the cycle while driving in three runs, while Michael Cyhowski (3-for-3), Jonathan Breor (two hits), Austin Sumner (hit) and Joaquin Rubio (hit) all contributed in the win.
Gabe Voudren doubled twice for GSB, which also received two hits from Cayden Lehtomaki and a single from Zach Emond. Jake Lavin pitched well during his stint on the mound.
Game 2 is scheduled for tonight at 5:30.
Behind four shutout innings from Brett Robinson, Akey Insurance remained alive in the Franklin County Babe Ruth postseason on Tuesday night. In a consolation bracket game, Akey outlasted Turners Falls Athletic Club, 8-2, at Abercrombie Field to advance to the championship game and a matchup with top-seeded Hubie’s Tavern on Saturday at 4 p.m.
Patrick Boyden drove in three runs in the win for Akey, while Porter Clancy added a pair of RBI.
Nick Sciandra tossed five solid innings of relief for TFAC.
If Akey beats Hubie’s on Saturday, the teams will play a winner-take-all game on Monday at 5:30.
