Green River Festival is looking for five bands to perform on the Ride the Next Wave stage this year. Will perform July 14 in the evening. The best up-and-coming regional musical acts on that stage. Next Wave Stage will feature five of the most promising 18-and-under western New England music groups. Open to musical acts throughout the Pioneer Valley. Must apply. Deadline June 1. Exploded View: a local word, art performance group, is curating a community art show at Great Falls Discovery Center in Turners Falls through May. Artists in western Massachusetts should submit art with the theme “rivers and water” for the “Catch and Release” exhibit.
